Ozark Camper Dancers Chapter #118

(Affiliated with the NSDCA and the Southwest District of the Missouri Federation of Square and Round Dance Clubs).
A club made up of a group of folks of all ages with the common interest of camping, square and or round dancing.

A typical camping weekend includes one night of dancing, one night of potluck and socializing, and Sunday morning group breakfast. On Saturday's, we play bean bag toss, washer toss, and other games.  We usually have 12-15 camping rigs at each campout and take 2 to 3 squares to the local scheduled dances. We have lots of fun at all times and welcome guests..

April 25 – 27, 2008 Camping at Coachlight RV Park in Carthage, MO. (417-358-3666). Hosted by Phil & Bobbie Westerhouse. Potluck Friday Night. Dancing will be Saturday Night at the Annual Ozark Camper Dancer Dance (see below) Breakfast Sunday morning in the club house prepared by the men for the gals. You definitely want to make plans to attend this campout.
April 26, 2008 Ozark Camper Dancer's  Annual Dance - Rounds and Squares - Joplin, MO at the Joplin Square Dance Center with pre-rounds starting at 7:00 p.m. with Monty Hackler calling, Marge Sherrill cueing.
May 17, 2008 Southwest District Dance at The OTC Campus, at the corner of E Chestnut Expwy & N. National, Springfield, MO.
May 30 – June 1, 2008 Camping in Forsyth at the Shoals Bend RV Park hosted by Al & Debi King.  Bring your golf clubs, garage sale gear, shopping gear and fishing poles. There is a lot to do in the Forsyth / Branson area. It is a short hop to the Branson Landing via Hwy 76.

If you're planning on going, contact Shoals Bend RV Park and make your reservations. Ask for Tracy, the manager, and let her know you're with the Ozark Camper Dancers. This is a nice park with a pool and hot tub and close to Branson for shopping and entertainment. They have cabins if you're inclined to leave the rig at home.

June 20-22, 2008 Arrowhead Point (888-881-5720) near El Dorado Springs, MO on Hwy 54. This is hosted by Karl & Jean Ann Kreeger. Dance in Nevada Friday night with the Mo-Kan Squares, Pot Luck Saturday at 5:30pm

July 8-10, 2008 International NSDCA Camporee , Coldwater, Michigan
July 11-13, 2008 Mountain Grove, MO. This spot hosted by Bill and Marge Sherrill. August 21-23, 2008 Camp at Cedar Oaks RV Park in Grove. OK. The club makes annual treks to this RV Park so it is a familiar and welcome place for us. Plenty to do in the Grove OK area what with Golfing, Boating, Fishing, and the Casino's nearby. Hosted by Duane and Nancy Robinette.
September 12 - 14 , 2008 Camping at the Big Red Barn RV Park in Carthage, MO. This site confirmed by Phil and Bobbie Westerhouse. Gang, we been here before a few times and this is a nice park with something to do for everyone in the Carthage area.
October 10-12, 2008 Camping in Forsyth at the Shadow Rock City Park hosted by Al & Debi King. Bring your golf clubs, garage sale gear, shopping gear and fishing poles. There is a lot to do in the Forsyth / Branson area. It is a short hop to the Branson Landing via Hwy 76.
October 17-19, 2008 49th Missouri State Festival, Jefferson City, MO
November 8, 2008 One of the wonderful restaurants in the Springfield Mo at a north side location. Marvin and Ann Jones will make the arrangements and we will dance with the Kountry Kuzins in Springfield at 7:30pm

Our annual dues for Ozark Camper dancers are $25.00 per couple per year. There is a one-time charge for badges at $6.00 per badge.
