Someone mentioned it might be nice to share
our Macon treasures in the Macon Historical Museum with those
coming for the meeting in April. I've checked with the powers
that be and they are willing to open up for anyone who would
like to tour the museum on Sunday afternoon (after the meeting)
for an hour or so. There is no cost to tour but they do accept
free will offerings to help support the museum. I was in it
several years ago and was amazed at some of the items they have
on display and the stories behind those items.
Also, they are opening on Saturday (17th)
from 10-2 for the new season if anyone wants to come early to
the District dance and take the tour at that time. Please let
your club dancers also know this in case any of them would like
to come and enjoy the museum. There is also a walking trail
right close to enjoy.
What I'd like to know is how many think they
might like to take some time to go see the museum? If you could
let me know if there is any interest and which day you would
like to visit I can be sure that they would be expecting us. You
can call or text me (Madeline Hall) at 660.998.4235 or
Thanks for the opportunity to share our little town.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
