1. Raffle
Prizes - The $300 first prize was won by Debbie Melcher, NE District,
$150 by Shirley Turner, SE District, and $50 by Sara Merservey, WC District,
Trenton T-Squares. Congratulations.
2. Caller
Hall of Fame - Congratulations to Jay Wright, caller for
the Mo-Kan Squares of Nevada (and anybody else who will let him call). Well
deserved recipient!
3. Square
Dancer of the Year - Congratulations to Bob & Shirley Turner,
SE District, on being selected as the 2009 Square Dancer of the Year. Well
deserved and I think they were surprised!
4. Attendance
- 633 - Breakdown goes like this - Central Dist - 45; NE Dist. - 55; NW Dist -
154; St. Louis Dist - 40; SE Dist - 8; SW Dist - 58; WC Dist - 68; Other
Missouri dancers - 47; Kansas - 32; Iowa - 10; Nebraska - 2; Caller/Cuer/Partner
- 77; Other complimentary - 37. We are sorry that the other 3,000 Missouri
dancers missed a wonderful weekend!
5. Door
Prizes - we had approximately 200 door prizes donated and 464 people who
pre-registered by October 1st. Thanks to all the clubs and people
who brought door prize items. You helped make this part of the festival quite a
success.
6. The
Silent Auction was a huge success with over 75 items auctioned to
the highest bidders. Over $700 was raised by your generous donations for these
quality items. Thanks to those who brought them! All the money raised goes to
the Missouri Federation.
7. Sheridan's
Frozen Custard was again a highlight of Saturday evening. Sheridan's of
Belton shared $125 of the proceeds with the Festival. Thanks so much!
8. Banner
March - this fun start
to the Saturday night ceremonies was enjoyed by: 4 clubs in Central District, 7
clubs in Northeast, 11 clubs in Northwest, 2 clubs in Southeast, 4 clubs in
Southwest, 6 clubs in St. Louis, 7 clubs in West Central, and representatives
from Heart of America Federation and the Kansas Square Dance Association.
Thanks for making the banner march a great success.

9. 50th
Festival Program Books - we still have about 30 books left over. These
are available to purchase for $10 per book. If you would like a book, contact
Edythe Weber.

The Sunday morning Doin's Dance
was attended by approximately 235 enthusiastic dancers. Thanks to additional
donations, the Sunday morning Doin's Dance raised $519.
