The Grand daughters of Karen & Bert Craig, Died in an automobile accident 10 miles north of Topeka, Kansas.  Karen Craig is a Square Dance Caller in  Northern Missouri and the Kansas City area.

Katelynn Danielle Spencer, 8, and Alissa Ruthann Spencer, 5, of Meriden, KS, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Meriden, Kansas. Their younger sister, Madelynn Nicole Spencer, 4, died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Childrens Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Katelynn was born December 13, 2001 in Kansas City, Kansas. Katie had just completed the 2nd grade at Valley Falls. She was a member of the Valley Falls Brownie Scouts and Prosperity 4-H Club. Alissa was born September 15, 2004, in Kansas City, Kansas. She had just completed pre-school at Valley Falls and was a member of the Valley Falls Daisy Scouts. She was a Clover Bud in the Prosperity 4-H Club. Madelynn (Maddie) was born April 10, 2006, in Shawnee, Kansas.

Surviving are their parents: Chad A. and Stephanie L. (Evans) Spencer of the home, Meriden, Kansas; grandparents: Michael & Carol Evans of Valley Falls, Kansas and Howard & Sharon Spencer of Bonner Springs, Kansas; great-grandparents: Virginia Masters of Mt. Morris, Illinois, Richard & Marilyn Evans of Monmouth, Illinois, Jackie Umbenhower of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Florence Spencer of Bonner Springs, Kansasand Bert & Karen Craig of Hatfield, Missouri; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, Kansas. Interment in Bloomfield - St. Paul Cemetery, Meriden, Kansas.

Katelynn, Alissa, and Madelynn will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

The girls loved animals and enjoyed their association with 4-H.  Memorial contributions may be made to the:
