Darrell McLemore

Darrell McLemore, 62, suddenly passed from this world on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

He had recently moved to the Morrisville/Brighton area after living 20 years in Clever.

Darrell was born August 30,1958 in Midland, Texas to Clifford and Maxine (Richardson) McLemore. His family moved to several states, but settled in California for much of his life. He moved to New Mexico in his late thirties, and there met Catherine Cormack Crawley. They moved to Missouri in 2000, and were married on June 22, 2001. They remained devoted to each other since. They had sold their home in Clever three weeks prior to his death, and were planning to built a new home on land they bought near Brighton. Darrell was very excited and looking forward to this.

Darrell was a painter by trade, and loved building and fixing things.

In January of 2015, Catherine begged, wheedled, and cajoled Darrell into taking square dance lessons. He knew he would hate it, but tried to keep an open mind, and turned out to love it. They have been very active in square dance at the club, district, and state levels. He will be greatly missed in squares throughout Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Darrell was proceeded in death by his parents, and his dear little granddaughter Etta Crawley. He is survived by his wife Catherine, a sister, Mary Sue (Rick) Kirichenko of Benicia, California, two children with his former wife Lori, Marshall (Jenny) McLemore and Kori McLemore, both of Kalispell, Montana, his stepdaughter Emily Crawley Sibet and her two sons Bryson and Corbin, his stepson Evan (Ashley) Crawley and their daughter, Sharily and son Porter. It is great comfort to know that he is now with Evan and Ashley’s second precious daughter, Etta. Darrell is also survived by his sister-in-law Becky Carter and her husband Harold, along with two nephews, two nieces, six great-nephews, and two great nieces.

Darrell was a kind and loving man who had a strong Christian faith. He will be greatly missed by his family, and all who knew him. Go rest high on that mountain, your work on earth is done
