SQUARE UP
Hear, See, or Read about Square Dancing in the Media!   Yes, there is a "new song and dance routine" appealing to people everywhere and it's called Modern Square Dancing. A square dance is eight people interacting on the dance floor in a spirit of co-operation and teamwork to the direction of a person known as a "caller." Most of all, it's great fun but it also has an element of fitness and brings great friendships. It's a non-competitive social recreation that's open to everyone--great for couples to share time together, great for families to enjoy together and great for singles to socialize and meet others.  In modern square dancing you shuffle your feet smoothly to the rhythm of music that spans from pop to country and show tunes to golden oldies. At new dancer sessions, you first learn the "Mainstream" and "Plus" level of square dance calls after which you can dance anywhere in the world because those calls are standardized in the English language around the globe.  New dancer sessions are starting soon throughout the Greater St. Louis Area.
