Gerry & Micky Lee

Micky took 12 lessons at the "Y" and went to National Square Dance Convention at Kiel auditorium in 1957. Where he and his girlfriend enjoyed dancing to several live bands. After taking time off to finish his education, get married and raise a couple of kids he decided to return to square dancing in 1981.

He met Gerry in lessons with Swingin' Singles and Yellow Rockers. They Married in June of' 1985. She has four children.

When not dancing they enjoy beekeeping, their tropical fish and puttering around in the garden.

They were presidents of Yellow Rockers when they became a non-dancing club. They have been club Reps for the Singles to both the League of Clubs and the Metro. More recently Micky has been appointed to be director at large for the Metro and St. Louis Delegate to the State Federation.

They have worked extensively toward converting the Metro NEWS to a format the US Postal service will accept. Without the changes the Metro would not have been able to continue using the reduced mailing fees for the Metro NEWS.
